Question 1

How much do Sagrada Família tickets cost in 2026?

Accepted Answer

Ticket prices in 2026: Basic entry with free audioguide from €36.80 (adult). With tower access: from €49.80. With an expert guide: from €58. With tower access and an expert guide: from €77. Young visitors (11–29) and students with valid ID receive a small discount. Children under 10 enter free (with a symbolic €1 admin fee). Prices are set by the Fundació Junta Constructora — verify current prices at sagradafamilia.org before booking.

Question 2

Do I need to book Sagrada Família tickets in advance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — strongly recommended, especially in 2026 (Gaudí centenary year). The Sagrada Família is one of the most visited monuments in the world, with nearly 5 million visitors annually, and tickets regularly sell out weeks in advance during peak season (April–October). Online tickets also let you skip the ticket office queue entirely.

Question 3

Can I visit the Sagrada Família without a guide?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The 'Sagrada Família & Free Audioguide' and 'Sagrada Família with Towers & Free Audioguide' tickets let you explore at your own pace using the audioguide app on your smartphone. Expert-guided tickets include a 50-minute guided tour in your choice of language.

Question 4

What languages are guided tours available in?

Accepted Answer

Expert guided tours are available in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Catalan, and German.

Question 5

Can I cancel my Sagrada Família tickets?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation policies vary depending on the booking provider. Generally, tickets booked through Tiqets can be cancelled up to 24–48 hours before the visit for a full refund. Check the specific cancellation terms at the time of booking.

Question 6

What is the dress code for the Sagrada Família?

Accepted Answer

The Sagrada Família is an active basilica and requires modest dress: shoulders and knees must be covered. If you arrive in shorts or a sleeveless top, you can cover up with a scarf or sarong at the entrance. Hats must be removed inside.

Question 7

Is the Sagrada Família wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The main basilica is fully accessible by wheelchair with level floors throughout. Lifts are available in the towers, though the tower descent involves a narrow spiral staircase — confirm your specific route needs when booking. Accessible restrooms are available on site.

Question 8

What's the difference between the Nativity Tower and the Passion Tower?

Accepted Answer

The Nativity Tower (northeast) offers views over the Nativity façade with its intricate naturalistic carvings, and is considered by many to have better views of Barcelona's Eixample district. The Passion Tower (southwest) looks toward the city centre. The specific tower available on the day depends on availability and is assigned at the time of booking.

Question 9

How long does a visit to the Sagrada Família take?

Accepted Answer

Allow at least 90 minutes for the basic visit. With tower access, plan for up to 2.5 hours. If you're on a guided tour, the tour itself is 50 minutes, after which you can continue exploring independently.

Question 10

What is the Sagrada Família Quiet Hour?

Accepted Answer

Since February 2026, the Sagrada Família enforces a mandatory Quiet Hour every day from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. During this period, all audioguide content must be listened to through headphones (loudspeaker mode is disabled), organised tour groups are not admitted, and conversations must be kept to a minimum inside the nave. The 9:00 AM entry slot has become the most sought-after of the day — fewer crowds, enforced quiet, and the best morning light through the east-facing Nativity windows.

Question 11

Can children visit the Sagrada Família?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Children under 10 years old enter free (with a symbolic €1 admin fee). The Sagrada Família's extraordinary architecture makes it a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

Question 12

Is this an official Sagrada Família website?

Accepted Answer

No. This is an independent guide, not the official Sagrada Família website. We recommend tickets through authorised third-party providers. All Sagrada Família admission tickets are issued exclusively by the Fundació Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família.

Question 13

Is there a restaurant or café inside the Sagrada Família?

Accepted Answer

There is no restaurant inside the basilica. Several cafés and restaurants are within a short walk, particularly along Avinguda de Gaudí and Carrer de Mallorca.

Question 14

Is the Sagrada Família included in the Barcelona Pass?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Barcelona Pass (also sold as the Barcelona City Pass) includes timed entry to the Sagrada Família basilica. The pass also covers other major Barcelona attractions such as the Montjuïc cable car, hop-on hop-off bus, and airport transfers, depending on the tier purchased. If you plan to visit multiple attractions over several days, a city pass can offer better overall value. For a visit focused solely on the Sagrada Família, booking directly through an authorised reseller is usually simpler and comparably priced.
