Antoni Gaudí's Sagrada Família is a basilica shaped by architecture, light and symbolism. Inside, branching columns rise toward the ceiling while stained-glass windows change the colour of the nave throughout the day. Outside, the Nativity and Passion façades tell different parts of the building's story.

Gaudí didn't design windows — he designed light itself. Step inside and you'll understand why the Sagrada Família's stained glass is considered one of the greatest feats of sacred architecture in history.

Hidden in plain sight on the Passion Façade is a 4×4 grid of numbers that adds up to 33 in every direction. It is one of the most quietly extraordinary details in all of European architecture.

In 140 years of continuous construction, no building on earth has pushed the boundaries of organic architecture as persistently — or as beautifully — as the Sagrada Família.
